magine this happening to you. Imagine everywhere you go the fear of your belonging being questioned. Imagine not feeling safe to go anywhere. Imagine coming home from school or work to find your family members missing. Imagine growing up in a country whose administration has decided that you’re not welcome anymore. THAT is exactly what is at stake for millions of Americans if we don’t pass a #DREAMACTNOW.

It’s hard for some of us to imagine this because it’s not our lived experience. But this IS happening…to our friends and neighbors, our co-workers and caretakers, our fellow Americans. Will you be next?

She calls us to go beyond thinking of America as a place where “Immigrants are welcome”but as a community that values the dignity and wellbeing of ALL OF IT’S MEMBERS.

This goes much deeper that policies of immigration and pathways to citizenship. This goes to the heart of who we are and what we stand for, not just as a country, but as a people. We all deserve to be here and thrive. And if we don’t fight for that, what’s left?
